I am convinced that, we are not human beings having a spiritual experience but rather spiritual beings having a human experience.

HE TOOK YOUR PLACE!!!!
One day, a man went to visit a church. He arrived early, parked his car, and got out.
Another car pulled up near him, and the driver told him, "I always park there.
You took my place!" The visitor went inside for Sunday School, found an empty seat,
and sat down. A young lady from the church approached him and stated, "That's my seat!
You took my place!" The visitor was somewhat distressed by this rude welcome,
but said nothing. After Sunday School, the visitor went into the church sanctuary
and sat down. Another member walked up to him and said, "That's where I always sit.
You took my place!" The visitor was even more troubled by this treatment, but still
said nothing. Later, as the congregation was praying for Christ to dwell among them, the
visitor stood, and his appearance began to change. Horrible scars became visible on
his hands and on his sandaled feet. Someone from the congregation noticed him and
called out, "What happened to you?" The visitor replied, "I took your place."

The Smell of Rain a short story letter.

Subject: Worth a Second Time Around

In Brooklyn, New York, Chush is a school that caters to learning disabled children.
Some children remain in Chush for their entire school career, while others can
be main-streamed into conventional schools. At a Chush fund-raising dinner, the
father of a Chush child delivered a speech that would never be forgotten by all
who attended. After extolling the school and its dedicated staff, he cried out,
"Where is the perfection in my son Shaya?

Everything God does is done with perfection. But my child cannot understand things
as other children do. My child cannot remember facts and figures as other children
do. Where is God's perfection? The audience was shocked by the question, pained by
the father's anguish and stilled by the piercing query. "I believe," the father
answered, "that when God brings a child like this into the world, the perfection
that he seeks is in the way people react to this child."

He then told the following story about his son Shaya: One afternoon, Shaya and his
father walked past a park where some boys Shaya knew were playing baseball. Shaya
asked, "Do you think they will let me play?" Shaya's father knew that his son was
not at all athletic and that most boys would not want him on their team. But Shaya's
father understood that if his son was chosen to play it would give him a comfortable
sense of belonging. Shaya's father approached one of the boys in the field and
asked if Shaya could play. The boy looked around for guidance from his teammates.
Getting none, he took matters into his own hands and said "We are losing by six
runs and the game is in the eighth inning. I guess he can be on our team and
we'll try to put him up to bat in the ninth inning." Shaya's father was ecstatic
as Shaya smiled broadly. Shaya was told to put on a glove and go out to play
short center field. In the bottom of the eight inning, Shaya's team scored
a few runs but was still behind by three. In the bottom of the ninth inning,
Shaya's team scored again and now with two outs and the bases loaded with the
potential winning run on base. Shaya was scheduled to be up.

Would the team actually let Shaya bat at this juncture and give away their chance to
win the game? Surprisingly, Shaya was given the bat. Everyone knew that it was all
but impossible because Shaya didn't even know how to hold the bat properly, let alone
hit with it. However as Shaya stepped up to the plate, the pitcher moved a few steps
to lob the ball in softly so Shaya should at least be able to make contact. The first
pitch came and Shaya swung clumsily and missed. One of Shaya's team-mates came up
to Shaya and together they held the bat and faced the pitcher waiting for the next pitch.

The pitcher again took a few steps forward to toss the ball softly toward Shaya.
As the pitch came in, Shaya and his teammate swung at the ball and together they
hit a slow ground ball to the pitcher. The pitcher picked up the soft grounder and
could easily have thrown the ball to the first baseman. Shaya would have been out
and that would have ended the game.Instead, the pitcher took the ball and threw
it on a high arc to right field, far beyond reach of the first baseman. Everyone
started yelling, "Shaya, run to first. Run to first. "Never in his life had Shaya
run to first. He scampered down the baseline wide-eyed and startled. By the time
he reached first base, the right fielder had the ball. He could have thrown the
ball to the second baseman who would tag out Shaya, who was still running. But
the right fielder understood what the pitcher's intentions were, so he threw
the ball high and far over the Third baseman's head. Everyone yelled, "Run to
second, run to second." Shaya ran towards second base as the runners ahead of
him deliriously circled the bases towards home. As Shaya reached second base,
the opposing short stop ran to him, turned him in the direction of third
base and shouted, "Run to third."As Shaya rounded third, the boys from both
teams ran behind him screaming, "Shaya run home." Shaya ran home, stepped
on home plate and all 18 boys lifted him on their shoulders and made him
the hero, as he had just hit a "grand slam" and won the game for his team.
"That day," said the father softly with tears now rolling down his face,
"those 18 boys reached their level of God's perfection."

Funny how this is so true and shame on us! Funny how simple it is for people to trash
different ways of living and believing and then wonder why the world is going to hell.
Funny how you can send a thousand 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire,
but when you start sending messages regarding life choices, people think twice about
sharing. Funny how the lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene pass freely through cyberspace,
but the public discussion of morality is suppressed in the school and workplace.
Funny isn't it?
Funny how when you go to forward this message, you will not send it to many on your
address list because you're not sure what they believe, or what they will think of you
for sending it to them. Funny how I can be more worried about what other people think
of me than what I think of me It gives you something to think about doesn't it.

WOW ! I had tears in my eyes before Shaya even got to bat. What a cool bunch of kids to
give up the game for Shaya. Just to make Shaya feel good. Only one team can win but this
day every one of those 18 boys were winners, and that day they let Shaya be a winner too.

Are you a winner ? Does God work though you ?
Maybe you could read this and ask God what
he whats you to do for him.

Subject: SAD BUT SWEET

This is a good story, please read it all the way through.
(After the story there are some very interesting facts!):

I am a mother of three (ages 14, 12, 3) and
have recently completed my college degree.

The last class I had to take was Sociology.
The teacher was absolutely inspiring with the qualities that I wish every human being
had been graced with. Her last project of the term was called "Smile."
The class was asked to go out and smile at three people and document their reactions.
I am a very friendly person and always smile at everyone and say hello anyway, so, I
thought, this would be a piece of cake, literally. Soon after we were assigned the
project, my husband, youngest son, and I went out to McDonald's one crisp March
morning. It was just our way of sharing special play time with our son.
We were standing in line, waiting to be served, when all of a sudden everyone around
us began to back away, and then even my husband did. I did not move an inch ... an
overwhelming feeling of panic welled up inside of me as I turned to see why they had moved.
As I turned around I smelled a horrible "dirty body" smell, and there standing behind
me were two poor homeless men. As I looked down at the short gentleman, close to me,
he was "smiling". His beautifus sky blue eyes were full of God's Light as he searched
for acceptance. He said, "Good day" as he counted the few coins he had been clutching.
The second man fumbled with his hands as he stood behind his friend. I realized the
second man was mentally deficient and the blue eyed gentleman was his salvation.
I held my tears as I stood there with them. The young lady at the counter asked him
what they wanted. He said, "Coffee is all Miss" because that was all they could afford.
(If they wanted to sit in the restaurant and warm up, they had to buy something.
He just wanted to be warm). Then I really felt it - the compulsion was so great I
almost reached out and embraced the little man with the blue eyes. That is when I
noticed all eyes in the restaurant were set on me, judging my every action. I smiled
and asked the young lady behind the counter to give me two more breakfast meals on a
separate tray. I then walked around the corner to the table that the men had chosen
as a resting spot. I put the tray on the table and laid my hand on the blue eyed
gentleman's cold hand. He looked up at me, with tears in his eyes, and said,
"Thank you." I leaned over, began to pat his hand and said, "I did not do this for
you. God is here working through me to give you hope." I started to cry as I walked
away to join my husband and son. When I sat down my husband smiled at me and said,
"That is why God gave you to me, Honey. To give me hope." We held hands for a
moment and at that time we knew that only because of the Grace that we had been given
were we able to give. We are not church goers, but we are believers. That day showed
me the pure Light of God's sweet love. I returned to college, on the last evening of
class, with this story in hand. I turned in "my project" and the instructor read it.
Then she looked up at me and said, "Can I share this?" I slowly nodded as she got the
attention of the class. She began to read and that is when I knew that we, as human
beings and being part of God, share this need to heal people and be healed. In my own
way I had touched the people at McDonald's, my husband, son, instructor, and every soul
that shared the classroom on the last night I spent as a college student. I graduated
with one of the biggest lessons I would ever learn: UNCONDITIONAL ACCEPTANCE. Much love
and compassion is sent to each and every person who may read this and learn how to

NOT LOVE THINGS AND USE PEOPLE.

Growing old and regrets ........
The first day of school our professor introduced ,himself and challenged us to
get to know someone we didn't already know. I stood up to look around when a
gentle hand touched my shoulder. turned around to find a wrinkled, little old
lady beaming up at me with a smile that lit up her entire being. She said,
"Hi handsome. My name is Rose. I'm eighty-seven years old. Can I give you a hug?"
I laughed and enthusiastically responded, "Of course you may!" and she gave me a
giant squeeze."Why are you in college at such a young, innocent age?" I asked.
She jokingly replied, "I'm here to meet a rich husband, get married, have a
couple of children, and then retire and travel." "No seriously," I asked. I
was curious what may have motivated her to be taking on this challenge at her age.
"I always dreamed of having a college education and now I'm getting one!" she told me.
After class we walked to the student union building and shared a chocolate milkshake.
We became instant friends. Every day for the next three months we would leave class
together and talk nonstop. I was always mesmerized listening to this "time machine"
as she shared her wisdom and experience with me. Over the course of the year,
Rose became a campus icon and she easily made friends wherever she went. She love
to dress up and she reveled in the attention bestowed upon her from the other students.
She was living it up. At the end of the semester we invited Rose to speak at our
football banquet. I'll never forget what she taught us. She was introduced and
stepped up to the podium. As she began to deliver her prepared speech, she dropped
her three by five cards on the floor. Frustrated and a little embarrassed she leaned
into the microphone and simply said "I'm sorry I'm so jittery. I gave up beer for
Lent and this whiskey is killing me! I'll never get my speech back in order so let me
just tell you what I know." As we laughed she cleared her throat and began:
"We do not stop playing because we are old; we grow old because we stop playing.
There are only four secrets to staying young, being happy, and achieving success.
"You have to laugh and find humor everyday. "You've got to have a dream. When you
lose your dreams, you die. We have so many people walking around who are dead and
don't even know it!" "There is a huge difference between growing older and growing up.
If you are nineteen years old and lie in bed for one full year and don't do one
productive thing, you will turn twenty years old. If I am eighty-seven years old
and stay in bed for a year and never do anything I will turn eighty-eight. Anybody
can grow older. That doesn't take any talent or ability. The idea is to grow up by
always finding the opportunity in change." "Have no regrets. The elderly usually don't
have regrets for what we did, but rather for things we did not do. The only people
who fear death are those with regrets." She concluded her speech by courageously singing
"The Rose." She challenged each of us to study the lyrics and live them out in our daily
lives. At the years end Rose finished the college degree she had begun all those years
ago. One week after graduation Rose died peacefully in her sleep. Over two thousand
college students attended her funeral in tribute to the wonderful woman who taught by
example that it's never too late to be all you can possibly be. If you read this,
please send this peaceful word of advice to your friends and family, they'll really
enjoy it! We send these words in loving memory of ROSE.

THE TRAIN...............

There was once a bridge that spanned a large river. During most of the day the bridge
sat with its lengthrunning up and down the river paralleled with the banks, allowing
ships to pass through freely on both sides of the bridge. But at certain times
day, a train would come along and the bridge would be turned sideways across the
river, allowing the train to cross it. A switchman sat in a shack on one side of the
river where he operated the controls to turn the bridge and lock it into place
the train crossed. One evening as the switchman was waiting for the last train of
the day come, he looked off into the distance through the dimming twilight and caught
sight of the train lights. He stepped onto the control and waited until the train was
within a prescribed distance when he was about to turn the bridge. He turned the bridge
into position, but, to his horror, he found the locking control did not work. If the
bridge was not securely in position, it would cause the train to jump the track and go
crashing into the river. This would be a passenger train with MANY people aboard.
He left the bridge turned across the river and hurried across the bridge to the other
side of the river, where there was a lever switch he could hold to operate the lock
manually. He would have to hold the lever back firmly as the train crossed. He could
hear the rumble of the train now, and he took hold of the lever and leaned backward to
apply his weight to it, locking the bridge. He kept applying the pressure to keep the
mechanism locked. Many lives depended on this man's strength.

Then, coming across the bridge from the direction of his control shack,
he heard a sound that made his blood run cold. "Daddy, where are you?"
His four-year-old son was crossing the bridge to look for him. His first
impulse was to cry out to the child, "Run! Run!" But the train was too
close; the tiny legs would never make it across the bridge in time. The
man almost left his lever to snatch up his son and carry him to safety.
But he realized that he could not get back to the lever in time if he
saved his son. Either many people on the train or his own son - must die.
He took but a moment to make his decision. The train sped safely and swiftly
on its way, and no one aboard was even aware of the tiny broken body thrown
mercilessly into the river by the on rushing train. Nor were they aware of
the pitiful figure of the sobbing man, still clinging to the locking lever
long after the train had passed. They did not see him walking home more slowly
than he had ever walked; to tell his wife how their son had brutally died.

Now, if you comprehend the emotions that went through this man's heart,
you can begin to understand the feelings of Our Father in Heaven when He
sacrificed His Son to bridge the gap between us and eternal life. Can
there be any wonder that He caused the earth to tremble and the skies
to darken when His Son died? How does He feel when we speed along through
life without giving a thought to what was done for us through Jesus Christ?

I hope you choose to pass this on.

Will You Stand ?

This is a true story of something that happened just a few years ago at USC.

There was a professor of philosophy there who was a deeply committed atheist.
His primary goal for one required class was to spend the entire semester
attempting to prove that God couldn't exist. His students were always afraid
to argue with him because of his impeccable logic. For twenty years, he had
taught this class and no one had ever had the courage to go against him. Sure,
some had argued in class at times, but no one had ever really gone against him
because of his reputation. At the end of every semester on the last day, he
would say to his class of 300 students, "If there is anyone here who still
believes in Jesus, stand up!" In twenty years, no one had ever stood up.
They knew what he was going to do next. He would say, "Because anyone who
believes in God is a fool. If God existed, he could stop this piece of chalk
from hitting the ground and breaking. Such a simple task to prove that He is
God, and yet He can't do it." And every year, he would drop the chalk onto the
tile floor of the classroom and it would shatter into a hundred pieces. All of
the students would do nothing but stop and stare. Most of the students thought
that God couldn't exist. Certainly, a number of Christians had slipped through,
but for 20 years, they had been too afraid stand up. Well, a few years ago there
was a freshman who happened to enroll. He was a Christian, and had heard the
stories about his professor He was required to take the class for his major,
and he was afraid. But for three months that semester, he prayed every morning
that he would have the courage to stand up no matter what the professor said,
or what the class thought. Nothing they said could ever shatter his faith, he hoped.
Finally, the day came. The professor said, " If there is anyone here who still
believes in God, stand up!" The professor and the class of 300 people looked at
him, shocked, as he stood up at the back of the classroom. The professor shouted,
"You FOOL!!! If God existed, he would keep this piece of chalk from breaking when
it hit the ground!" He proceeded to drop the chalk, but as he did, it slipped out
of is fingers, off his shirt cuff, onto the pleat of his pants, down his leg,
and off his shoe. As it hit the ground, it simply rolled away unbroken. Theprofessor's
jaw dropped as he stared at the chalk. He looked up at the young man,and then ran out
of the lecture hall. The young man who had stood, proceeded to walk to the front of
the room and shared his faith in Jesus for the next half hour. 300 students stayed
and listened as he told of God's love for themand of His power through Jesus.

You have 2 choices.

1. Delete this story and never look at it again.

2. Pass this along to your Christian and non-Christian
friends, giving them encouragement we all need every day.

I pray you will choose option 2.
Sometimes all we have to do is STAND UP.

Your faith is tested each and everyday.

A young man who

had been raised as an
atheist was training to be an Olympic diver. The only
religious influence in his life came from
his outspoken Christian friend. The young diver never really
paid much attention to his friend's sermons, but he heard them
often. One night the diver went to the indoor pool at the
college he attended. The lights were all off, but as the pool
had big skylights and the moon was bright, there was plenty of
light to practice by. The young man climbed up to the highest
diving board and as he turned his back to the pool on the
edge of the board and extended his arms out, he saw his shadow on
the wall. The shadow of his body, was in the shape of a
cross. Instead of diving, he knelt down and finally asked God
to come into his life. As the young man stood, a maintenance
man walked in and turned the lights on. The pool had been
drained for repairs.

Remember this story and send it to a
friend.

Yes, I do Love Jesus. He is my source of existence
and Savior. He keeps me functioning each and everyday.
Without Him, I will be nothing. Without him, I am nothing but
with Him I can do all things through Christ
that strengthens me. Phil 4:13 This is the simplest
test.

Thanks Thomas for sending this to me it is a very powerful story.

Is it better to give or recive ? Read Jakes gift and find out.

There are no atheist in HELL ! Do you no why ?
